Team Taya competed at the recent NSW State Championships held at Sydney Netball Centre, Olympic Park last 27 November 2016 and had a good result closing the year with a total of 11 medals (6 Golds, 4 Silvers, 1 Bronze) from our 7 athletes courtesy of:

The trip to Bendigo proved to be a happy and successful journey with Team Taya winning 5 Golds out of 7 athletes. Our Coloured Belts competed at their first Nationals and were crowned Australian National Champions for 2016 in their respective divisions after some tough matches against competitors from across the country.

It was a happy and successful day at the ASMA Rio Olympic Dream Competition with Team Taya winning 2nd Overall Best Club with 14 Golds, 5 Silvers and 2 Bronzes today at Whitlam Leisure Centre at Liverpool.

Team Taya competed at the recent NSW State Championships held last 7 August 2016 at the Sydney Olympic Park State Sports Centre and brought home 7 Golds, 12 Silvers and 3 Bronzes from 11 athletes. Good performances shown and further experience gained by the team which will assist with their preparation for the Australian National Championships in Bendigo, Victoria on 26-28 August 2017. Well done Team Taya! We are so proud of your hard work, perseverance and strong focus.

Our Head Instructor Ms Natalia Sangalang was honoured to personally meet Dr Chung Won Choue, the World Taekwondo Federation President at the Welcome Dinner for Dr Choue held at the NSW Parliament House on 19 July 2016. This dinner was attended by several of Australia's most prominent taekwondo officials, athletes and dignitaries and was hosted by Rio Olympics International Referee Maher Magableh.
