The trip to Bendigo proved to be a happy and successful journey with Team Taya winning 5 Golds out of 7 athletes. Our Coloured Belts competed at their first Nationals and were crowned Australian National Champions for 2016 in their respective divisions after some tough matches against competitors from across the country.

Unfortunately our two Black Belts who were previous National Champions have fought hard but lost in their preliminary rounds showing courage and indomitable spirit. They have all learned from this experience and will undoubtedly come back stronger, fitter, tougher and wiser. Well done and congratulations Team Taya! We are very proud of you all!

Our team results were as follows:

Connor Fleming                       Gold

Aaditya Kadam                        Gold

Ysabella Querubin                    Gold

Kiara Fleming                          Gold

Sofia Querubin                         Gold

Jordan Elliott                            Participated

Kyan Gonzales                          Participated
