Team TAYA had exceptional results at the 2022 Chuncheon Korea Open!!! 

With Coach Ms Abby Sangalang’s brilliant coaching, our Athletes have performed extremely well -
Cadet Chelsea Gomez - Gold -42 kg
Cadet Atharva Pansare - Gold -51 kg and awarded Best Junior Male Fighter
Junior Sofia Querubin -Gold -49 kg and awarded Best Junior Female Fighter
Cadet Diego Querubin -34 kg QF lost to Gold Medallist from Korea
 
It was a successful Korea Open 2022 campaign!!! Lots of learnings and experiences gained to set them up well for the upcoming Cadet and Junior World Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria.
 
Chelsea fought three tough Korean opponents and performed a tactical game and variety of techniques in the finals match winning both first two rounds in point gap and the second round in less than 17 seconds!!! 

Sofia fought Singapore in the finals match winning the first two rounds both in point gap and was awarded the Best Junior Female Fighter. 

Atharva fought and won all 3 matches to win Gold (first two against Koreans and finals against an Australian). Also awarded the Best Junior Male Fighter.

Diego won his preliminary match in point gap wins against Korea but drew a strong Korean in the quarterfinals who was the eventual Gold Medalist.
