It is remarkable to see our athletes competing against some of the world's leading and Australia's best taekwondo athletes.
Worthy to note Chelsea ventured onto her inaugural Seniors matches as part of transition from Juniors in this G3 event winning her Round of 16 match vs Japan and fought the No 1 seed from Russia who was the current Under 21 World Champion and Senior World Championships Silver Medallist losing the Quarterfinals match.
Sofia fought a tough opponent from Brazil in her first match.
Our Juniors Diego and Ayva also fought dominantly in their early matches.
Ayva dominated the first two matches but lost in the finals against her Australian opponent.
Diego won in straight sets against New Zealand but sustained an injury which cost him the semi-finals match against a co-Australian.
Our first year Juniors Vasili, Heleni and Kiaan showed huge potential.
Vasili fought toe-to-toe in the first set against the Australian opponent and won second set in PTG.
Heleni won first match vs New Zealand and losing second match against a seasoned and older Japanese opponent in a closely contested second set.
Kiaan beat a national team athlete from Peru in the first match and lost to an Australian competitor in the second match.
Our cadets have also given their best and sadly lost their preliminary matches.
Aarav gave Japan a tough match each winning a set apiece but lost in the third set with Japanese opponent becoming the eventual Champion.
Kiera was unable to progress to the next round losing to her Australian opponent.
Danica lost to her Australian competitor who won the division.
Thank you to our coaches and parents for your unwavering support and encouragement.
