Team Taya travelled to Chuncheon, South Korea for the annual Korea Open which is undoubtedly the most significant and hardest Taekwondo Open Championships in the world drawing the strongest athletes from several countries. It was a massive learning experience for our juniors and cadet athletes drawing very tough fights in their preliminary matches but gained further knowledge to improve their game plans, strategies and court management tactics and assist with their preparation for Kimunyong Cup International Open the following week and as part of their training program.

Results as follows:

Aaditya Kadam - lost to a National team member from France who was the eventual Silver Medallist in Junior division under 48 kg with a score of 1-26

Ysabella Querubin - lost to Kazakhstan who was the eventual Gold Medallist in Junior division under 46 kg with a score of 3-23

Sofia Querubin - lost to a Thailand boy who was the eventual Gold Medallist in the Cadet mixed gender division under 41 kg with a score of 6-10

The event was held at Hoban Gymnasium, Chuncheon on July 5-10.
