We closely monitor the daily updates from the NSW Government and will advise of any developments.

It is very important for our health and wellbeing to maintain fitness, be active, eat nutritious meals, keep motivated, focused, committed and positive during this Covid Lockdown period. It is highly recommended to connect and engage with our families, friends, work colleagues, school community, sports teams, social groups on social media, email or telephone communications.

We thank our members for your patience, understanding, support and encouragement during this difficult time.

See you all in our zoom classes in the safety of our homes.

Get your families to join in, be active and have fun.

It was wonderful to be back on the mats with Team TAYA athletes competing at the NSW State Championships last 11 April 2021 at Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope Gardens after more than a year of no competitions due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The day saw a mix of our experienced athletes competing again and new team members having a go at their first tournament. Collectively, Team TAYA brought home a tally of 19 medals - 9 Golds, 6 Silvers, 4 Bronzes. A fantastic result to start the competition season for 2021.

Commendable performances were noted from our Black Belts Junior Athlete Sofia Querubin and Cadet Athlete Chelsea Gomez, Red Belts Cadet Athlete Alec Macgowan and Youth Athlete Ethan De Guzman who have all shown technical prowess and excellent court management in their matches. We are also happy and proud to see our novice athletes showing strong fighting spirit and good potential.

Congratulations and Well Done Team TAYA!!!

Thank you to our Coaches Ms Natalia, Sir Ed, Miss Abby for your guidance and dedication in bringing the best from our athletes, to our Black Belt Ysabella Querubin and Red Belt Saanvi Sharma for your assistance in marshalling the team and the parents/families for your support and encouragement.

Our youth Athlete Chelsea Gomez has completed her Philippine training with Philippine Legend and Olympian Sir Roberto Kitoy Cruz in Manila with his Kitoy Cruz Taekwondo Academy for a couple of weeks. This international training camp culminated with participation in the Dela Salle Zobel Taekwondo Championships where Chelsea won Gold with a score of 16-6 against a cadet opponent at her first international competition. This is a fantastic opportunity, exposure and experience for Chelsea to assist with her preparation for 2020 and beyond.

Congratulations and well done Chelsea!!!

Following the Hankuk Winter International Training Camp in Madrid, Spain, our Junior Athlete Aaditya Kadam travelled to Copenhagen, Denmark and attended the first New Year 2020 International Camp hosted by Turkey Olympic Gold Medalist and European Champion Servet Tazegul who is now Turkey's National Coach, Levent Tuncant, Germany's Olympian and European Champion and Aziz Acharki, World Champion and now Germany's National Coach.

Training Camp was held from 3-5 January 2020. This is another excellent learning opportunity for Aaditya to train with some of Europe's best Juniors and Cadets under the tutelage of the three taekwondo legends. Aaditya enjoyed every minute of the 3-day camp, enhanced his skills and techniques and made friends and spent some relaxing time with the Danish Junior National Team members. A great preparation for World Championships Australian Junior National Team Selections over the next several months.

Congratulations Aaditya for this wonderful experience!!!
